Hayden Sabourin commits to organization

Oshawa, Ont., – The Oshawa Generals are proud to announce 17-year-old goaltender Hayden Sabourin has committed to the organization.

The 5’11, 165 netminder was the Generals 2nd selection, 28th overall in the 2022 U18 OHL Priority Selection. From Guelph, Ontario, Sabourin spent the 2021-2022 season with the Guelph Jr. Gryphons AAA team. In 13 games played, Sabourin played to a crisp 1.89 goals against average, including two shutouts.

Starting his 2022-2023 season with the Elmira Sugar Kings of the GOJHL, Sabourin has appeared in four games and has a record of 1-1-0-0 with an impressive 1.63 goals against average and a 0.934 save percentage.

Sabourin joined the Generals yesterday to back up Carter Bickle in the Generals 5-0 exhibition game victory over their rival Peterborough Petes.
