Moustache Season Officially Open!
The Oshawa Generals are taking part in the CHL league-wide initiative for Movember in support of men’s health and prostate cancer awareness. During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Canada and around the world. The annual month-long moustache growing and appreciation charity event helps raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer.
The Oshawa Generals Hockey Club are registered under the CHL network on movember.com and will attempt to raise sponsorship dollars by growing and grooming their moustaches and encouraging monetary donations through family, friends, fans, and local sponsors.
The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and men’s health partner, Prostate Cancer Canada. Together the two channels work together to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in line with strategic goals in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.
Last year in Canada 118,928 “Mo Bros” and “Mo Sistas” raised over $22.4 million for Prostate Cancer Canada.

Movember is over and the Mo's are no mo'! Thank you so much for all your support this month whether you were able to donate or not. After a vigourous round of voting, your Man of Movember is Andy Andreoff!
By the end of Movember, Andy Andreoff sported so much hair on his upper lip that people kept mistaking him for Super Mario and asking where his overalls were. And we thought he was Macedonian, not Italian.
For all of Andy's hardwork, concentrating on growing facial hair and putting up with the itchiness, the Generals awarded Andy witha prize pack which included: A customizable Movember T-shirt, razor, deodorant, movie pass, pizza pizza coupons, and an East Side Mario's coupon. Thanks for hanging in there Andy! Check out his photo gallery below!
Andy and the Generals organization raised valuable funds for prostate cancer research and raised awareness for men's health. To learn more about this important issue, visit ca.movember.com
