The Oshawa Generals organization has been a proud community partner since our inception in 1937. A big part of being an Oshawa General is giving back to the community, something we have been doing for over 75 years.
Throughout the year the Generals take part in school assemblies, class readings, hospital visits, hockey practices, community festivals and other charitable events. We also work hard to be involved in the community throughout the summer months as well.
The Generals have participated in various events throughout the region including:
Tim Horton’s Camp Day
CIBC Run for the Cure
Various Charity Golf Tournaments
Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation: Heel N’ Wheel Walk
Walk A Mile in Her Shoes in support of Bethesda House
Oshawa Relay for Life
HNIC Play On 4 on 4 Tournament
Oshawa Fiesta Parade

Community Appearance Request
If you are interested in having a Generals player appear or Deke the Mascot at your upcoming event, please fill out the application below.
Please be aware that while we try to attend as many events as possible, we receive hundreds of requests throughout the year and because of the player’s game, travel, practice and their own school schedules we cannot commit to every appearance.
Also note that player appearances are limited to the hockey season and are rarely available throughout the summer.
Throughout the summer months you can book the FREE, fun and interactive Oshawa Generals Road Tour for your event. For more information on the Road Tour and to fill out the application click here.
We kindly ask that you submit your request at least two weeks before your event date, but in most cases appearances are booked at least one month ahead of time and dates fill up quickly. We will try to respond to your request in a timely manner.
