Mitchell Brewer Commits to the Oshawa Generals

May 11th, 2017

Oshawa, ON—Vice President and General Manager Roger Hunt announced this afternoon Mitchell Brewer has committed to the Oshawa Generals.

The Waterdown, ON native, was the Generals 1st Round, 15th Overall pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection. Drafted out of the Halton Hurricanes Minor Midget AAA program, Brewer suited up for 31 games this past season tallying 4 goals and 11 assists along with 36 penalty minutes. The 5’11, 189-pound defenceman finished out his season with the Georgetown Raiders of the OJHL, winning the Buckland Cup.

“We are extremely excited to have Mitchell committed and am looking forward to seeing him at training camp in August” said Hunt. “I’m a real believer in recruiting winners, and Mitchell missed our orientation camp as he was participating in the OJHL finals with Georgetown where he won a championship. It is not easy to win, and as many players you can have that have paid the ultimate price to be a champion, is extremely important to us. Winning will only make Mitchell hungrier to achieve success when he joins our organization.”
