Matthieu Franche Commits to Generals

Oshawa, ON– The Oshawa Generals announced today that defenceman Matthieu Franche has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the Hockey Club.

The Orleans, ON native was the 9th Round selection by the Generals in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. He was a member of the Smith Falls Bears of the CCHL during the 2017-18 season where he tallied three goals and 10 assists and 46 penalty minutes in 61 games played.

The 6’3, 190-pound defenceman was a former commit to Merrimack College, a Division I school in Massachusetts before denouncing his commitment in April of this year.

Franche joins newly signed Danyk Drouin, Ty Tullio and Dylan Robinson as 2018 signing additions to the Generals roster for the 2018-19 season.
