The Generals notched their first victory of the exhibition schedule, bringing their record to 1-1. They traveled to Peterborough to take on the Petes at 7:00 and came out on the winning side of a lopsided game. 1898 fans turned out to see the match up.
The Generals started the scoring early when newly acquired General Adam Lloyd scored off a feed from Bradley Latour less than three minutes into the game. It took Peterborough most of the period to answer back. Jonatan Tanus scored what would be the Petes only goal of the game short handed and unassisted. Though the two teams went into intermission tied 1-1, Oshawa had out shot Peterborough 14-6 in the opening frame.
The Generals opened things up in the second and scored three unanswered goals. The first one came two minutes in when Tyler Hore connected the dots of a feed from Scott Laughton and put one away on the power play. Cole Cassels struck next near the end of the period and Lucas Lessio followed, scoring off a feed from Matt Hore.
Boone Jenner capped the scoring when he tallied the Generals fifth and final goal of the night, just one minute into the third. Several scraps later, the buzzer went and the Generals skated away with a 5-1 victory.
Daniel Altshuller played in net for the Generals, stopping 25 of 26 shots. The Generals out shot the Petes 34-26.
