Generals Acquire Nicolas Mattinen from Bulldogs in Exchange for Eric Henderson and Draft Selections

Oshawa, ON- The Oshawa Generals announced today they have acquired Nicolas Mattinen from the Hamilton Bulldogs in exchange for Eric Henderson and draft selections.

Generals receive:

  • Defenceman Nicolas Mattinen

Generals trade:

  • Forward Eric Henderson
  • 2nd Round Selection
  • 3rd Round Selection

“He’s a big, good skating, right handed shot defenceman that has a lot of playoff experience, which all along been what we felt was important to add to this group,” said Vice President and General Manager Roger Hunt on the acquisition. “He’s motivated to win again in his final OHL season and we couldn’t be happier to have him as an Oshawa General.”

Mattinen is a Toronto Maple Leafs prospect in his overage season. He is a 2016 Memorial Cup Champion with the London Knights and most recently a 2018 OHL Champion with the Bulldogs. This year he has tallied 13 goals and 17 assists in 40 games this season.
