Tonight, the Oshawa Generals welcome the Flint Firebirds to town for their first of two meetings this season. The Generals will be looking to rebound after a busy week of games resulted in a 1-1-1-0 record.

The Generals kick off a 3 in 3 weekend schedule that begins tonight with a rare interconference matchup and concludes with a big home and home series against a division rival with whom they are chasing in the standings, the Kingston Frontenacs. Last season, the Gens were victorious in both meetings with the Firebirds and will look to carry over that success as they aim to get back in the win column. Flint sits last in the competitive West Division and holds a 12-23-3-0 record on the season. On Tuesday the Firebirds acquired defenceman Riley McCourt from the Hamilton Bulldogs. McCourt is expected to make his team debut against a Gens team that he has become quite familiar with through his time with the Bulldogs. With valuable points on the line, the Gennies will rely on all four lines to provide a balanced offensive attack. They will lean on players such as Serron Noel, Domenico Commisso and Hayden McCool who have each had 4 or more points in their last six games.

This evening’s game day sponsor is Durham College Alumni! Be sure to visit their table on the concourse to learn more about Durham College and watch for a t-shirt and hat toss during the first intermission.

Buffalo Wild Wing Charity Dinner tickets are on sale with a limited number of tickets still available for the event. The Gens will host fans for dinner as their celebrity servers. Proceeds from the evening go to United Way of Durham Region. Get your tickets at Fan Services for $10 or by emailing!
