The Oshawa Generals would like to congratulate Jack Studnicka, Matt Brassard and 2016 Euro pick Eeli Tolvanen on being drafted this past weekend in the 2017 NHL draft in Chicago.
The Ontario Hockey League today announced that 42 OHL players were selected in the seven rounds of the 2017 NHL Draft held this weekend at United Center in Chicago representing 19% of all 217 players picked by all 31 NHL clubs.

Jack was drafted in the 2nd round, 53rd overall by the Boston Bruins. Matt was drafted in the 7th round, 188th overall by the Vancouver Canucks and Eeli was drafted in the 1st round, 30th overall to the Nashville Predators.
Following the draft Kyle Keyser will be attending camp with the Buffalo Sabres and Kyle MacLean will be attending the St. Louis Blues camp. Over-ager Jeremy Brodeur has also been invited to attend the Los Angeles Kings upcoming development camp.
